Leading Broker/Dealer based in Boston, MA seeks a Chief Financial Officer to have company-wide responsibility and authority in
the areas of broker/dealer accounting, financial reporting, compliance,
project and administration. This role requires a track record of
accomplishment in a leading U.S. brokerage firm managing multiple
projects; leading intervention on financial reporting, accounting and
compliance issues; working independently, yet closely, with the
President, and senior management and his/her staff; and demonstrating
keen judgment within areas of ambiguity. The ideal candidate will
possess proven business leadership skills and excellent administrative
management capability. He/she will possess focused industry knowledge.
This executive must have excellent interpersonal skills, be accessible,
and be a team player who can influence the support of all constituents.
This person must demonstrate keenly developed problem-solving skills.
Specific qualifications include twelve plus years of relevant
experience. This will include hands-on Financial, Accounting, and
Compliance leadership in the brokerage business. Experience in public
accounting is preferred, but not required. The ideal candidate may have
an MBA and/or CPA, but must have (or be willing to obtain) a Series 27
license.
